Have you seen a dog, a cow, or a parrot? Animals are all around us!

Some animals live with us at home. Some live on farms. Some live in forests. Each animal is special and useful.

Let us learn about the animals around us!

Types of Animals

Pet Animals live with us at home. We love and care for them.

Examples: Dog, Cat, Parrot, Fish, Rabbit.

Farm Animals live on farms. Farmers take care of them.

Examples: Cow, Buffalo, Goat, Hen, Horse, Ox.

Wild Animals live in forests and jungles. They find their own food.

Examples: Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Deer, Monkey.

Arjun has a pet dog named Tommy. Tommy barks and wags his tail. Tommy is a pet animal.

What Animals Eat

Animals eat different kinds of food. We group them by what they eat:
