Have you ever been to a doctor when you were sick? Has a teacher taught you something new? These people help us every day!
People who work to help others in our community are called community helpers. They do very important jobs.

Teacher: Ravi's teacher, Mrs. Sharma, teaches him to read and write. Teachers are very patient and kind.
Farmer: Arjun's uncle is a farmer. He grows rice, wheat, and vegetables. Without farmers, we would have no food!
Police officer: The police officer near Sita's school helps children cross the road safely. Police officers wear a uniform.
Postman: The postman brings letters and parcels to our door. He walks or rides a bicycle to deliver them.
Firefighter: Firefighters are very brave. They rush to put out fires and save people and animals.
