India has three main seasons. Each season is different and special.

Summer Season

In summer, the sun shines very brightly. It is very hot outside. We drink lots of water and cold drinks like nimbu pani and lassi. We eat mangoes, watermelons, and ice cream. We stay indoors during the afternoon.

Arjun loves summer because he gets to eat mangoes and go swimming. But he always wears a hat when he goes outside!

Rainy Season (Monsoon)

In the rainy season, dark clouds fill the sky and it rains heavily. The weather becomes cool and pleasant. Rivers and ponds fill up with water. Farmers are very happy because rain helps their crops grow. We see rainbows after the rain.

Meena loves jumping in puddles after the rain. But her mother says, "Wear your raincoat and boots, Meena!"

Winter Season

In winter, the weather is cold. We wear warm clothes like sweaters and jackets. We drink hot tea, soup, and milk. We sit in the sun to feel warm. In some places, it gets very cold and foggy in the morning.

Ravi wears a woollen cap, a sweater, and socks in winter. He loves eating hot khichdi on cold evenings!
